FRED FOY'S CONTRIBUTION TO THE WXYZ PROGRAMS
Compiled by Terry Salomonson of Audio Classics Archive
(From Radio Recall, February 2006)

Fred Foy was the announcer on The Lone Ranger from 07/02/48 to 09/03/54. He was also brought into the Special Recordings studios to do additional voice overs for the edited-down dialog when the shows were shorten for syndication purposes on NBC and ABC reruns from 1954 to 1956.

His Green Hornet time was from 09/10/52 to 12/05/52 as far as my notes indicate at this point. This was during the Orange Crush sponsorship period. I have all the shows. I have all The Green Hornet ET's and scripts from the beginning in 1936 to the end of the series. George Trendle, Jr. (who owns and controls the property) released all the physical property to my archive here about seven years ago. I have transferred a lot of the ET's into the computer and am slowly going through the restoration process with them.

Fred's Challenge Of The Yukon work was from approximately 09/14/54 to 06/09/55, the end of the series. He did step in and play the lead role once when Brace Beemer could not, due to another commitment.
